Intro
EA SPORTS FC™ Team of the Year is one of the franchise’s biggest annual moments. It is not just a content release, it is a global launch that players actively look forward to. Finalform supported EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile by creating the marketing animation that announced the event across mobile and console. With top players featured and multiple approvals involved, the work had to be accurate, brand consistent, and emotionally on point from the first second.

Objective
Create an announcement trailer that sets the tone immediately and works across social platforms. The piece needed to feel premium, match the established Team of the Year visual language, and communicate the scale of the moment without overexplaining. It also had to be flexible enough to adapt into multiple formats and localizations, since the launch is global and the rollout happens fast.

Challenge
This type of campaign involves many moving parts, from brand standards and platform requirements to approvals around talent and usage. EA’s quality bar is high and the Team of the Year moment has a clear expectation from players. Our job was to deliver a concept that aligned quickly, then execute it cleanly under a tight launch window, with enough structure to support variations for different platforms and regions.
Approach
We focused on making the trailer land immediately on social, then built a clean system that could scale across formats and languages without losing quality.
Locked the emotional hook and the first seconds
Built a clear rhythm with strong player presence
Kept the TOTY look consistent from start to finish
Designed it modular for resizing, localization, and versioning
Kept feedback tight with stakeholders to avoid unnecessary iterations

Result
The final trailer set the tone for Team of the Year with a clear hook, premium execution, and full consistency with EA’s established TOTY brand language. It supported the global rollout across mobile and console and scaled cleanly across versions.
Premium announcement trailer, aligned with TOTY brand standards
Built for a global launch across mobile and console
Adapted into 4 social formats
Localized into 13 languages
Structured for fast versioning without losing quality
